Welcome to the 2017-2018 School Year
The MGES PTO is an organization of parents, teachers and community partners of Meadow Glen Elementary School. We are not for profit organization whose sole purpose is to support our school with volunteerism, community building with family events and financial support through fundraising activities.
Here is how you can get involved:
*Join the PTO as a General Member -
Your $5 per family membership will include members only distribution for PTO specific communications, voting rights for PTO business and your fee helps to fund PTO annual operating expenses.
*Join the PTO as a Board Member –
Any general member in good standing can join the PTO Board. We meet once per month to discuss and collaborate on the many activities supported by the PTO. We need parents that can bring fresh ideas, a little time and a volunteer’s heart to help create wonderful experiences for our students, faculty and parents of MGES.
*Volunteer –
We really need volunteers to help us accomplish all we hope to achieve this year. Whether you work outside or inside the home, there are many activities that can be done from home or at the school. You can volunteer as little or as much as you choose. You can be a homeroom parent, box tops counter, fundraiser volunteer, book fair volunteer, mentor, family events volunteer, school activity volunteer, staff appreciation volunteer, or general volunteer as needed.
*Support our Financial Goals-
Through donations or participating in our fundraising activities, we depend on financial support from our families and community to operate as an organization and support our school. Refer to the “PTO Funds in Action” for a breakdown of all of the financial activities we support.
*Keep in Touch-
MGES PTO communicates primarily through email, Facebook, Volunteer Spot, Peachjar and occasionally with correspondence through your child’s weekly folder. You will also find updates in the PTO section in the school newsletter. Be sure to add meadowglenpto@gmail.com and Peachjar as approved senders in your email. Check your spam folders if you do not receive emails from MGES PTO or Peachjar. Be sure to like us on Facebook and please let us know how we are doing!
